Message window

Postby ginopiazza49 » Fri Jul 23, 2010 12:42 am

I opt not to use symbols or pictures. As a result, the text in the "Message Window" is large. Is there any way to adjust the size of the text in the "Message Window?"

Gino,

Good to see you here again! At present the text size in the message window is fixed. We can consider offering a setting for this in a future version. Do you want smaller text to fit more in the message window or do you have another reason?

David,

Hi, David. Good to hear from you!

Yes, the reason I ask is about the "Message Window" is that I would like to see smaller text to fit more in the message. Since May, 1978 I have been speaking to, and giving presentations to the children of a local elementary school with a DynaVox Vmax that I acquired in late 1970. Often the children come up to me and we chat. I will eventually be replacing the Vmax with the iPad and Proloquo2go.

As I stated above, often the children come up to me and we chat. With the text being so large in the "Message "Window," it might confuse the children being that some of my pre-defined sentences are rather long (these children are 2nd graders).

Gino,

So your concern is that they will see a partial sentence and see less than what they hear? Just want to be sure I understand.

David,

Yes, you are understanding me right. My concern is that the children will see only a partial sentence and see less than what they hear since when we chat the children tend to surround me and look at the device (which as I alluded to will now be the iPad plus Proloquo2go when I go back to school in September). I realize that you said it is not possible in the current version of Proloquo2go. If it is possible, I would like to see the text be adjustable in the next version.

Regards,

Gino

Gino,

Adjustable text will not be in the next version as that one is finished and in beta test, but it is on our to-do list.

David,

Okay, gotcha. I do look forward to whatever it is that you did work on for the upcoming version of Proloquo2go.

Regards,

Gino

PS. Can you give us any clue?

The upcoming update mainly addresses some issues with iOS 4. Working around some Apple bugs and fixing some of our own. The key new feature will be the ability to backup and restore vocabularies making use of iTunes' file sharing feature available for devices running iOS 3.2 and later.
