Hello from Port Chester, NY. I just purchased Proloquo2go for my brand new iPad. While I do have a DynaVox Vmax speech device to communicate with, I purchased an iPad and than Proloquo2go to supplement the Vmax. In other words, while the Vmax is great to use in short situations with it's 5 to 6 hour battery life, the iPad would be used for longer situations (such as outings or when I am invited to parties) with the iPad's 10 hour battery life. Besides, who would not want all those other cool features and great apps of the iPad!

I have been using Proloquo2go for a week, and I love it! The question I have is the following: Is there any way to say certain words and/ or sentences right away without having to send those words or sentences to the "Message Window" first?

In your settings you can determine whether things should only be spoken once you hit the message window or whether every single should be spoken as it is tapped. Check out this FAQ to see what the options are.
